Riverdance
7:00PM Salem Civic Center (800)745-3000 www.salemciviccenter.com
Of all the performances to emerge from Ireland – in rock, music, theatre and film – nothing has carried the energy, the sensuality and the spectacle of Riverdance.   Riverdance started in Dublin in 1995, remarkably as a brilliantly conceived spin-off from a seven-minute intermission piece in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest.  It has danced a long way since then, developing into an international phenomenon, with troupes careening and criss-crossing the world.  Experience ‘Riverdance’ for yourself and discover why nothing in the world compares to the original!

Toast the happy couple, enjoy the Italian pasta dinner & dance the night away! At Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding you’re more than a member of the audience, you’re a friend of the family!   The Longest Running Show in Off-Broadway History!  Since opening February 14th, 1988 in New York City this unique theatrical experience has won over the hearts of thousands of people, in over 100 cities worldwide, including Japan, Australia and many European cities.
At Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, audience members actually play the roles of Tony n’ Tina’s family and/or friends. These are roles we have all been practicing, every time we go to a real wedding. This universal familiarity with the union of two individuals from 2 distinct families, regardless as to where you are from, will take you back and forth between fantasy and reality throughout the entire evening. For the ultimate experience… eat, drink, dance, converse and allow yourself to be caught up in the activities. This all inclusive evening of entertainment will be something you and your friends will be talking about for many years to come!!! For ticket info call: 853-6241

The Lyric Theatre
Just in time for election season, the Lyric Theatre brings the untamed, unauthorized, and unbelievably funny antics of The Capitol Steps.  With satire about current politics and events, spoffs have never been so original.  They certainly know their sources—although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience.
