Prodigious ability. Finger-poppin’ grooves. Harmonic depth.
Since his precocious and startling debut with Miles Davis at the tender age of 17, Joey DeFrancesco has been credited with rekindling the flame of jazz organ. With his blistering speed, complete control of the organ and tremendous ear for harmonics, DeFrancesco’s repertoire runs the gamut from straight-ahead jazz to blues, gospel and rock.
“DeFrancesco is an energetic, unpretentious, soulful, swinging virtuoso who oozes confidence. His style, though heavily influenced by Jimmy Smith, comes across as personal and intimate.” -Downbeat Magazine
